The National Observatory for Women and the Sustainable Rural Agricultural Development Program Sign an Agreement to Empower Women in Rural and Agricultural Development

The National Observatory for Women at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and the Sustainable Rural Agricultural Development Program (Reef) signed a cooperation agreement on Wednesday, 15 October 2025, in the presence of the Acting President of the University, Dr. Fawzia bint Sulaiman Al-Amro, and the Deputy Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Engineer Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti, at the ministry’s headquarters. The agreement aims to enhance and empower women’s roles in rural and agricultural development and support their participation in achieving sustainable development in accordance with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. Areas of cooperation include: exchanging technical and knowledge-based support and expertise, providing consultations in areas of shared interest, as well as participating in seminars, scientific conferences, and training and development programs. The National Observatory for Women was represented in the signing by its Director, Dr. Sanaa Al-Otaibi, while the Sustainable Rural Agricultural Development Program was represented by the Secretary-General of the Program, Engineer Ghassan Bakri. The signing of this agreement aligns with the shared goals of both parties, particularly in the exchange of expertise. It also reflects the commitment of the National Observatory for Women at Princess Nourah University to strengthening strategic partnerships and empowering women’s leadership in national development.
