The Student Support and Career Development Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University launched, during the month of October, a package of training workshops and professional activities aimed at enhancing the readiness of university students and alumnae for the labor market, and developing their competencies with 21st-century skills. The workshops, part of the “Samoq” Program , include: a workshop titled “Smart Time Management: AI Tools in Our Daily Lives,” aimed at raising awareness among students about artificial intelligence tools, identifying skills that support smart learning in managing time, prioritizing tasks to increase productivity, and understanding the importance of such skills in the labor market, a workshop titled “Emotional Intelligence,” aimed at introducing students to the concept and dimensions of emotional intelligence and raising awareness about its importance as an effective tool for improving academic and professional skills, and a workshop titled “Personality Strengthening Skills and Confidence Building,” designed to raise beneficiary awareness in building personal identity, developing social and leadership skills, and enhancing psychological resilience in both personal and academic/professional life. In parallel, the center continues to offer individual career counselling sessions, which students and alumnae can book electronically with a career advisor and specify the type of service they need (such as CV preparation, job-interview skills, career interests, etc.). The center also offers group career-guidance sessions through the “Hour with a Career Consultant” initiative, where specialized professional topics are discussed among students or alumnae and career consultants. These include sessions such as “Building Professional Networks” and lectures such as “Developing a Professional Identity,” to enable beneficiaries to build a strong professional identity that enhances their opportunities in the labor market. These initiatives fall within the efforts of the Student Support and Career Development Center to contribute to achieving the strategic goals of Princess Nourah University 2025 by enriching the academic and professional environment for students, providing competitive graduates, achieving excellence in education and learning, and contributing to building the society of the future.
