The Deanship of Student Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized the “World Mental Health Day” event on Thursday, October 9, 2025, under the theme “Access to Mental Health Services in Crises and Disasters,” in partnership with the National Center for Mental Health Promotion. The event was held at the university’s Conferences and Seminars Center. The event coincided with World Mental Health Day and aimed to highlight the importance of mental health in enhancing quality of life, raise community awareness about prevention and psychological support, introduce mental health services, and promote a culture of well-being within the university environment through innovative activities and awareness exhibitions. The program included a variety of activities, most notably a specialized workshop titled “How to Control Your Fears?”, which explored methods of managing anxiety and stress in daily life. Additional awareness and consultation booths were offered in psychological and social support fields. The event also featured an interactive exhibition titled “Experience,” allowing visitors to engage in realistic simulation activities related to mental health, along with accompanying sports activities designed to reinforce the concept of balance between mental and physical health. “World Mental Health Day” is part of the Deanship of Student Affairs’ efforts to contribute to the university’s Strategic Plan 2025 by creating a supportive environment for wellness, raising health awareness among the university community, and promoting modern initiatives that enhance the health system, alongside improving healthy lifestyle practices on campus.
