Princess Nourah University achieved first place in the Saudi Universities Performance Index for the 15th Women’s Sports Season during the annual ceremony of the Saudi University Sports Federation held at the Ministry of Education. The university participated with 109 students across 10 sports: futsal, volleyball, basketball, badminton, chess, athletics, athletics for persons with disabilities, e-sports, table tennis, and karate. PNU secured first place in chess, athletics, e-sports, and futsal; second place in badminton; and third place in basketball, volleyball, and karate. Ahlam Al-Omari, Director of Sports Affairs at Princess Nourah University, stated: “Achieving first place in the University Performance Index for four consecutive seasons is a remarkable milestone that reflects the institution’s commitment to athletic and organizational excellence.” She added that the achievement demonstrates the university’s success in meeting its strategic goals and reinforces its leadership in women’s sports. The performance index evaluates universities in several key areas, including national competitions, hosting tournaments, open and recreational programs, community partnerships, training programs, exchange events, facility operations, internal competitive sports, physical activity programs, awareness initiatives, volunteerism, international participation, and representation in university national teams. Princess Nourah University had previously secured first place for three consecutive seasons. This accomplishment aligns with its 2025 strategic plan aimed at nurturing a health-promoting and active campus environment, strengthening women’s leadership, and supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by increasing participation in sports and physical activities.
