Princess Nourah University’s Sports Affairs Department launched the “Chess Training Camp” with participation from several students, aiming to enhance their readiness and refine their technical skills in chess. The initiative seeks to prepare students to compete with high proficiency in university-level tournaments and improve their chances of success. The camp, running until Tuesday, September 23, 2025, offers a series of theoretical and practical lessons tailored to each participant’s skill level. Activities include follow-up sessions and both individual and group training on chess strategies. The training focuses on developing essential skills such as mastering basic chess principles across all game stages, solving puzzles, adopting structured thinking methods, and enhancing self-confidence and focus during competition. Launching the Chess Training Camp represents a key step in preparing students for the upcoming Saudi Universities Sports Federation Chess Championship. By immersing students in a practical training environment, the university aims to achieve outstanding results. This initiative supports the university’s Strategic Plan 2025 by fostering a campus culture centered on health and sports, developing student abilities, and enhancing essential knowledge, skills, and values.
