The event was held at the University’s Center for Natural and Health Sciences Research. The forum highlights the applications of artificial intelligence in the legal field, introduces participants to the fundamental concepts of AI, and discusses legal challenges related to responsibility arising from the use of AI technologies. It also examines the alignment of current policies with the intellectual property challenges posed by AI systems. A number of academics, researchers, and specialists in law and artificial intelligence are taking part in the panel discussions, addressing key topics including: “Artificial Intelligence: Concepts, Applications, and Legal Challenges,” “Legal Liability Arising from AI Applications,” and “Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property Systems and Policies.” The forum serves as a specialized academic platform for reviewing the impact of AI on the legal sector, enhancing understanding of its concepts and applications, and discussing legislative solutions to emerging legal challenges. This event is part of the College of Law’s efforts, represented by the Department of Private Law, to support the university’s 2025 strategic plan objectives, which include preparing competitive graduates, developing 21st-century skills, supporting research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and strengthening integration with the labor market in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030’s commitment to empowering women.
