Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s College of Engineering, in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, launched today, Sunday, 14 September 2025, the “Hydrogen Vehicle Mobility Showcase,” with participation from students, faculty, administrative staff, and interested attendees. The event is held at the college premises and will continue until 18 September 2025. The showcase aims to introduce hydrogen technology, explain how hydrogen-powered vehicles operate, and demonstrate their mechanisms through hands-on experiments in renewable energy. The event also opens research opportunities for participants, supporting the university’s goals for sustainability and innovation in clean energy. The program includes: a sectional model of the Toyota Mirai vehicle, continuous field tours inside the campus using hydrogen-powered vehicles, live driving demonstrations with on-board technical support, and an informational booth explaining hydrogen’s characteristics as a safe and alternative fuel. This initiative serves as an important awareness effort in promoting renewable energy concepts by providing a practical, research-oriented environment for students and faculty members, supporting innovation in transportation in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030. The showcase reflects the College of Engineering’s ongoing efforts to support Princess Nourah University’s 2025 strategic goals to provide an enabling environment for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, while enhancing the knowledge, skills, and values of students and staff to achieve excellence in teaching and learning.
