Princess Nourah University’s Scientific Council, under the Vice-Rectorate for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, announces that it will host the First Saudi Forum for Scientific Councils on Thursday, 11 September 2025, under the theme “Scientific Councils: From Reality to Contemporary Challenges,” at the University’s Conference and Events Center. As a pioneering platform, the forum aims to analyze the current landscape of scientific councils, exchange expertise, explore future opportunities, strengthen academic and research excellence, activate partnerships across Saudi universities, and support Vision 2030 objectives in research, innovation, and sustainable development. Gathering more than 1,000 participants—including university leaders, research institutions, and academic specialists—the event will address topics such as AI and digital transformation in council work, governance enhancement, women’s empowerment in scientific councils, and the future of medical and research fellowship programs. The program includes scientific sessions, specialized workshops, individual consultations, posters, and an exhibition featuring participating universities and organizations. According to Dr. Jamilah Al-Otaibi, Secretary of the Scientific Council, the forum serves as a strategic platform for unified academic policy development, reflecting the university’s leadership role and commitment to advancing scientific governance in line with PNU’s 2025 strategic plan.
