The Deanship of Student Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University launched on Sunday, 24 August 2025, the Orientation Program for New Students for the academic year 1447 AH, as part of its annual initiatives aimed at preparing students to integrate into the university environment and supporting their academic journey. The week-long orientation program, implemented across all colleges, is designed to welcome new students, introduce them to the university’s facilities, regulations, and policies, and provide them with guidance regarding the academic and administrative services available to them, in addition to familiarizing them with the extracurricular activities that accompany their university experience. The program includes a series of activities such as an introductory visual presentation highlighting the university’s vision, mission, and achievements; a presentation on the digital application “PNU Students” and its digital services; and informational booths on student services available within the colleges, including transportation, technical support, student care, and college-related clubs, as well as services offered by the Deanship of Student Affairs. It also features competitions, dialogue sessions aimed at strengthening student connections, and guided campus tours. Dr. Laila Al-Mutairi, Vice Dean for Campus Life at the Deanship of Student Affairs, stated that “the orientation program reflects the university’s commitment to providing an innovative learning environment and enabling students to shape their academic paths from day one, as this forms a core element of the University’s 2025 Strategy, which places the student at the center of development and excellence.” The orientation program serves as a foundational milestone for first-year students by equipping them with essential knowledge regarding their rights and responsibilities, fostering their sense of belonging, and connecting them with the university’s vision and mission. It aligns with the Deanship’s role in supporting PNU’s 2025 Strategic Plan, which aims to build a healthy and supportive campus life, enhance students’ skills, knowledge, and values, and achieve excellence in teaching and learning.
