As part of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s efforts to build an advanced research environment that supports high-quality scientific output, strengthens innovation, and fosters applied knowledge as a core driver of national progress and a key contributor to shaping the future in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030, the Scientific Research Center successfully reviewed more than 142 research proposals during the past academic year and registered 100 research and specialized projects to support the production of innovative research that advances scientific progress. The Center provided specialized services to faculty members, researchers, and graduate students within and outside the University, including supervision of research activities, evaluation of research proposals, and organization of research-related programs in coordination with the Deanship of Scientific Research, University Libraries, and relevant academic centers, contributing to enhanced research skills and improved quality of scientific publications. The Center supported researchers across six colleges—Science, Computer and Information Sciences, Business Administration, Sports Sciences and Physical Activity, Engineering, and the Applied College—by fostering a stimulating research environment and effective academic partnerships that contribute to producing original, innovative studies aligned with global scientific developments. To empower research talent, the Center conducted more than fifty training programs in scientific research for nearly 300 participants, covering topics such as research ethics, applications of artificial intelligence in research, methodologies for publishing classified research in the humanities, and conference presentation skills. It also organized specialized workshops including “Criteria for Selecting Indexed Journals in WOS” for humanities researchers, an academic publishing workshop during the College of Languages’ Research Day, and the “Your Professional Certificate” workshop in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs to promote student engagement in research. Additionally, the Center facilitated interdisciplinary research collaborations by launching initiatives to link researchers in the humanities and sciences and participated in the Oman–Saudi “Knowledge Dialogue Forum” through a panel on “Collaboration in Scientific Research and Innovation,” highlighting the University’s research achievements, international partnerships, and collaborative opportunities. These efforts reflect the Center’s continued role in supporting PNU’s 2025 Strategic Plan by empowering researchers, cultivating an innovative academic environment, and advancing the University’s research presence locally and internationally toward building a knowledge-based society rooted in creativity and innovation.
