A group of students from the College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University participated from 27 July to 2 August 2025 in Cardiff University’s summer training program in data analysis and artificial intelligence. The program aimed to strengthen academic exchange, expand cultural understanding, provide exposure to the latest developments in AI, and enhance practical skills in applying AI tools across technical projects simulating real-world challenges. The intensive program included hands-on training workshops, practical exercises, and guided projects, along with tours of Cardiff University’s campus, visits to its research centers, labs, library, and Entrepreneurship Center to foster innovation and strengthen practical competencies. Students were introduced to advanced emerging technologies used in Cardiff’s labs and gained insights into global advancements in artificial intelligence, machine learning, big-data analytics, and natural-language processing. They also engaged with leading international experts to discuss cutting-edge research and innovations driving global digital transformation. Dr. Manal Al-Ouhali, Dean of the College, emphasized that participation reflects the College’s commitment to enabling students to acquire world-class skills aligned with Vision 2030’s objectives of building a digital, knowledge-based economy. This initiative supports PNU’s 2025 Strategic Plan by enhancing skills, knowledge, and values, fostering excellence in education and learning, and preparing highly qualified national talent.
