The Medical Skills and Simulation Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University concluded a series of specialized training programs in July, benefiting more than 130 healthcare practitioners as part of efforts to strengthen workforce readiness and improve the quality and safety of patient care. Training activities included three specialized courses in Basic Life Support (BLS) for practitioners across clinical specialties, and a two-day Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course aimed at enhancing emergency response competencies for pediatric cases. The Center also trained approximately 120 nursing students in Level II on ECG Interpretation Skills, and conducted a “Skill of the Week” workshop covering basic-to-advanced airway management for six health-science students. In addition, eight nurses from the dental-clinic rapid-response team participated in a specialized simulation-based training program designed to improve emergency preparedness, including adult and pediatric CPR, airway management, and team-based rapid response. The program evaluated existing systems, identified gaps, and improved clinical-care readiness through targeted simulation exercises. These training efforts support the University’s 2025 Strategic Plan by enhancing healthcare workforce competency and providing a safe, high-quality simulation-based training environment aligned with international best practices.
