The Student and Career Support Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University provided its specialized services to more than (21,000) female students and graduates during the previous academic year, as part of its efforts to enhance women’s professional empowerment and support the readiness of national female competencies for the future labor market. The services included more than (400) initiatives, training programs, workshops, and specialized individual and group sessions in the fields of career guidance and employment support. These services keep pace with technological, economic, and social transformations and contribute to equipping students and graduates with the skills needed to compete in a rapidly changing labor market. The Center launched the “Women in Tech” program to empower recent graduates in STEM disciplines, guide trainees in overcoming challenges, increase women’s participation in the technology sector, and equip them with labor market skills, in partnership with several leading national and international entities. In addition, the “Live Sumoog” activity was introduced to provide direct responses to inquiries from students and graduates regarding the “Sumoog” program and to enhance awareness of professional development pathways. The Center conducted mock interviews for students and graduates, received a number of job offers for nominated graduates across various specializations, and participated in organizing Career Day 2025 (Career Guidance Forum and accompanying Job Fair), as part of its role in enabling effective participation in the national development journey. The Center also launched a package of specialized courses, lectures, and workshops under several programs, including the “Professional Career Counselors Qualification Program,” which aims to prepare university cadres capable of providing career guidance services to students, the “My Professional Image” program, and the “ETS Employment Skills Program,” which focus on developing graduates’ professional identity and equipping them with skills required in modern work environments. Additionally, the “Professional Simulation” program was launched to develop professional skills through hands-on training under the supervision of university leaders in an environment that simulates real workplace settings. Specialized studies indicate that students who receive career support during their university studies have a higher ability to make effective career decisions and enjoy better employment opportunities due to acquiring cognitive and social skills that enhance their readiness for the labor market. These efforts reflect the Student and Career Support Center’s commitment to the objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s 2025 Strategic Plan, which aims to prepare competitive graduates capable of meeting labor market needs, engaging in professional and entrepreneurial fields, contributing to the knowledge economy, and enhancing the role of Saudi women in comprehensive development.
