Under the Patronage of the Wife of the Governor of Riyadh Region, Princess Nourah University Honors H.E. Dr. Enas Al-Issa at the “An Inspiring Journey” Ceremony

In recognition of an exceptional leadership journey that marked a qualitative transformation in the development of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, strengthened its local and international presence, and celebrated the achievements of Her Excellency the Vice Minister of Education, Dr. Enas bint Sulaiman Al-Issa, during her tenure as President of the University, Princess Nourah University honored Her Excellency at a ceremony titled “An Inspiring Journey” on Tuesday, 17 June 2025. The ceremony was held under the patronage of the wife of the Governor of the Riyadh Region, Her Highness Princess Nourah bint Mohammed Al Saud, and attended by Their Highnesses the Princesses, women leaders, and University affiliates, at the Conference and Seminar Center on campus. The event highlighted the six-year leadership journey of Her Excellency Dr. Enas Al-Issa, during which she led the world’s largest women’s university, enhanced its position on the knowledge impact map, supported the advancement of education, empowered women, contributed to national development, strengthened global citizenship concepts, and fostered human capacity development in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The ceremony included a speech by the Guest of Honor, Her Highness Princess Nourah bint Mohammed Al Saud, delivered on her behalf by Her Royal Highness Princess Adelah bint Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The speech expressed appreciation for Dr. Al-Issa’s efforts in serving education and society, affirming her effective role in launching qualitative initiatives, promoting education and sustainable development values, and supporting the status of women in higher education. The Acting President of the University, Dr. Fawziyah bint Sulaiman Al-Amro, delivered the University’s address, commending Dr. Al-Issa’s contributions and key transformation milestones, including the launch of the University’s visual identity, the establishment of the Sumoog ecosystem, and the development of the 2025 and 2030 strategic plans based on a forward-looking vision. She noted that Dr. Al-Issa’s leadership legacy will remain a sustainable foundation for the University’s future aspirations. The ceremony also featured a poetic recitation titled “Iwan Al-Ula,” delivered by the Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dr. Fatimah bint Saleh Al-Qubaisi. The honoring ceremony included the presentation of a commemorative shield and a documentary book titled “An Inspiring Journey,” documenting the most significant milestones of Dr. Al-Issa’s contributions between 2019 and 2025. In addition, a visual presentation titled “The Journey” and an accompanying exhibition showcased the University’s major milestones and their impact on women’s empowerment across various fields, as well as the development of the higher education system in the Kingdom during the six years of Dr. Enas Al-Issa’s leadership. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Her Excellency Dr. Enas Al-Issa expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional experience of leading the University, affirming that the achievements realized were the result of collective collaboration among all University members, staff, and students.
