Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University launched an interactive online course titled “Artificial Intelligence” for students in health, scientific, and humanities disciplines, aiming to empower students with modern digital skills and enhance their readiness to engage with AI tools and technologies in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030’s digital transformation and women empowerment goals. In its first phase, the course benefited approximately (213) students and focuses on providing foundational AI concepts, practical applications, and ethical principles related to generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, including safe and responsible usage mechanisms. The course is fully designed for asynchronous self-paced learning and leverages AI tools in content development and digital production. It enhances student interaction through innovative solutions, including a smart assistant to guide students and respond to inquiries, as well as integrated interactive tools within the learning content. The course includes applied activities and experiential learning opportunities, enabling students to directly interact with AI tools such as text-to-image generation, 360-degree concept visualization, and real-world simulation scenarios that simplify and reinforce learning. Content is delivered in both Arabic and English to ensure inclusivity and clarity. The course was first introduced at the beginning of the second semester of the previous academic year as part of a gradual methodology to integrate it into academic plans. It is currently offered as an elective for non-technical majors, with plans for future adoption as a core course. This initiative reflects Princess Nourah University’s efforts to align educational outputs with digital economy requirements under its 2025 Strategic Plan, equipping non-technical students with emerging technology knowledge and preparing graduates for future work environments in support of national development goals.
