The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University concluded the Certified Innovation Professional program, with the participation of 22 beneficiaries, including female students and members of the academic and administrative staff. The program was held at the CODE Lab on campus. The program aimed to qualify university affiliates and students to obtain the Certified Innovation Professional certificate from the Global Innovation Institute (GInI), a specialized body in accrediting professional certifications in innovation. The program combined theoretical knowledge with practical application, enhancing participants’ understanding of innovation concepts and modern methodologies. The program covered multiple themes, including the fundamentals of innovation, its concepts and various forms, the characteristics of innovators, and idea generation methods through brainstorming. It also addressed the stages of managing innovation projects through the Front End of Innovation (FEI), Middle Zone of Innovation (MZI), and Back End of Innovation (BEI), as well as design thinking and the roles of innovation managers in different work environments. Additionally, the program discussed topics such as leading innovation teams, innovation culture, strategies and measurement methods, storytelling skills for presenting ideas, and types and methods of research. This contributed to building a solid knowledge base for participants and preparing them to apply innovation across various professional fields. The implementation of the Certified Innovation Professional program supports Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s Strategic Plan 2025 by empowering female competencies, fostering an innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, and integrating applied and academic education, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 to prepare national talents capable of leading change and shaping a more innovative future.
