The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized a series of training programs in the fields of innovation, engineering, modern technologies, and entrepreneurship, with the aim of enhancing professional and technical knowledge. The programs were held at the University’s Code Lab. The organization of these programs comes as part of strengthening applied aspects and linking theoretical knowledge with practical experience, through an innovative educational environment that encourages exploration, experimentation, and creative thinking, contributing to the preparation of female cadres capable of keeping pace with labor market requirements. The programs focused on enriching the practical aspect and linking theoretical knowledge with real-world applications by presenting specialized topics and providing participants with opportunities to interact with experts and practitioners in these fields, which enhances their ability to make informed career decisions and develop innovative entrepreneurial projects. The programs included a dialogue session titled “Your Engineering Journey Starts Here: Getting to Know the Renewable Energy Engineering Specialization,” which covered introductory themes about the specialization, the role of energy engineers, required skills, and future career fields, aiming to raise students’ awareness and assist them in making decisions regarding specialization selection. As part of supporting digital transformation and empowering technical skills, the Center implemented a training program titled “Augmented Reality Technologies in Freelance Work.” The program addressed theoretical and practical topics, including the concept of virtual reality, an introduction to Lens Studio and its practical applications, with the aim of developing technical skills to support and market small projects. The Center also organized dialogue sessions and workshops, including: “Innovation in Entrepreneurship and Freelance Work Sectors,” and “Intellectual Property Rights and Sustainability.” The programs also included a workshop in cooperation with the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property titled “Introduction to Trademarks and Trademark Registration Procedures,” aimed at raising awareness of the importance of trademark protection and enhancing knowledge of the legal procedures required for trademark registration. These training programs come within the framework of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center’s role in contributing to achieving the objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s Strategic Plan 2025, which aims to support students in their academic and professional journeys, strengthen the research, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystem, and support the transition toward a sustainable knowledge-based economy through offering high-quality activities that develop skills in line with labor market developments.
