    About The Academic Program

    The Department of Libraries and Information was established in the year 1405 AH (1985 AD) to be part of the scientific and cultural movement and to contribute to meeting the requirements of comprehensive development, technological advancement, and information in the country. It supports the trends towards knowledge-based economy by qualifying competent personnel to work in various information institutions in both the public and private sectors. The department provides a Bachelor of Arts degree in Library and Information Science
