Nature and Goals of the Program

The specialization aims to qualify students as specialized cadres in the museum management sector by providing them with knowledge and skills related to museum management, from using materials, media, digital tools, and emerging technologies effectively and professionally to communicate complex museum ideas to the public, managing museum collections, and organizing exhibitions and cultural events.

1.To provide the graduate with basic knowledge and relevant skills in the field of museum management.
2.Prepare the graduate to manage museums professionally and communicate effectively through cutting-edge educational technology.
3.Providing training opportunities in the field of museum management through activating local partnerships with specialized entities.
4.Meeting the needs of the labor market of qualified national cadres in the field of museum management.
5.Providing initiatives and activities that contribute to community service in the field of museum management.

1.Explain the theories, basic concepts, principles, processes, and practices related to museum management.
2.Demonstrate specialized knowledge and understanding of history and cultural heritage, understanding events in different contexts, and knowledge of current issues related to museum studies and museum management.
3.Employing critical thinking and creativity to manage workflows, challenges and difficulties in an innovative and ethical way for museum collections management, financial engineering, exhibition curation, continuity and maintenance in the museum industry
4.Develop and hone the professional skills and procedures required in museum operations, museum offerings, collections, taxonomy, conservation, and visitor services management.
5.Use materials, media, digital tools, and emerging technologies effectively and professionally to communicate complex museum ideas to the public.
6. Demonstrate human and professional values, adhere to ethical codes of conduct, and make responsible decisions to access and manage cultural heritage in the context of museums.
7. Develop a desire to work individually or with diverse teams with integrity and effectively, and to collaborate and commit to meeting the interests of stakeholders in local and global environments.
