    Nature and Goals of the Program

    This academic program is a practical specialization that focuses on designing and planning interior spaces that meet functional, social, aesthetic, and economic needs of people, in accordance with sustainable, artistic, architectural standards, and their constraints. It plays a pivotal and essential role in maintaining the safety of the building.

    1- Prepare an educational environment that encourages creativity in interior design.
    2- Acquire knowledge of interior design and its applications.
    3- Refine the students' design, artistic, and technical skills necessary to practice the profession.
    4- Develop professional communication skills in the field of interior design work.
    5- Encourage students to participate in global events.

    1- Understand the theories and history of interior design along with knowledge of all requirements and standards.
    2- Know construction systems and materials with an understanding of international regulations for green buildings and the application of Saudi and international building codes.
    3- Recall the social, environmental, and cultural factors that influence interior design.
    4- Understand scientific research methodologies and approaches through the study and analysis of interior design principles.
    5- Utilize the knowledge gained by the student to innovate creative designs and meet the needs of the local and global market.
    6- Integrate human behaviour with the built environment to produce sustainable designs that meet life safety standards.
    7- Analyze and think critically in a creative and innovative way about interior environment problems.
    8- Establish the effective use of modern methods and techniques in the application and presentation of various design works.
    9- Achieve self-development in various fields of interior design.
    10- Lead and take professional responsibility through decision-making and engagement in professional practices.
