​​The College of Arts and Design is a leading college in its field across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As College of Arts and Design was established under its current name in order to develop the former Colleges of Education for girls. On 27/12/1428 AH, the Higher Education Council approved the restructuring of Colleges of Education for girls affiliated to Riyadh University, as the College of Education for Home Economics and Art Education was split into two colleges; College of Home Economics and College of Arts and Design.​​
