About the Vice Deanship:

 

Responsibilities:

- Supervising the training affairs of interns and postgraduate programs according to the training program's axes.

- Supervising scientific activities related to training development and sustained partnerships.

- Supervising the affairs of faculty practitioners in hospitals and obtaining professional licenses.

- Supervising the certificate issuance procedures for interns after completing the training period and fulfilling training requirements.

- Supervising the annual recognition of training institutions and external supervisors.

- Supervising the performance of the Academic Titles Committee and reporting to the College Dean.

- Implementing educational programs that contribute to educating interns and equipping them with the necessary skills for practice and passing professional licensing exams.

- Monitoring the performance of interns and graduates in professional practice exams and providing necessary support for improvement.

Moreover, it strives to equip physicians with high-quality scientific and practical qualifications, capable of continuous self-learning and conducting scientific research, to ensure the promotion of health and community service. 

Internship and Training Department:

Training and Internship Management:


- Ensuring appropriate training opportunities for internship students at hospitals, companies, pharmacies, and other training institutions (in coordination with the University Clinical Training Unit).

- Handling administrative arrangements related to training courses, including training schedules, monitoring, and collecting grades from course supervisors.

- Supervising students' assessments and monitoring their grades.

- Establishing unified assessment criteria, models, and tools.

- Monitoring and resolving any issues encountered by internship students during the training period.

- Preparing internship student official documents for registration with the Saudi Medical Specialization Board after fulfilling the requirements.

- Sending and monitoring financial claims to external entities.

- Registering students for cooperative training outside the curriculum plan.

 

Professional Practice and Licensing Unit:Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

-Coordinating faculty members' hospital practice.

- Monitoring the acquisition and renewal of professional practice licenses for faculty members and addressing any interruptions.

- Monitoring the classification of faculty member certificates by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

- Monitoring the performance of healthcare services provided by the college at hospitals and medical clinics.

- Organizing the delivery of continuous medical education courses, including accredited hours from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
