Main Responsibilities:
1. Supervising the college's annual research plan.
2. Proposing new postgraduate programs and following up on their implementation upon approval.
3. Creating a conducive environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.
4. Supervising the development of the college’s partnerships and relationships with external sectors.
5. Establishing partnerships with relevant community and service sectors, fostering constructive interaction based on partnership and social responsibility.
6. Supervising the college's investments as well as its developmental and specialized works.
Units:
• Scientific Research Unit:
Responsibilities:
1. Preparing the college's annual research plan and priorities in collaboration with the departments, and following up on its implementation upon approval.
2. Coordinating with the academic departments to encourage faculty members to participate in research activities, and monitoring the progress of such activities.
3. maintaining effective communication with the Deanship of Scientific Research.
4. Cultivating an environment supportive of innovation within the college and offering logistical and technical support for innovative projects, in cooperation with the university's Innovation Center.
• Postgraduate Programs Department:
The Postgraduate Programs Department is concerned with Proposing new postgraduate programs at the college and monitoring their implementation upon approval.
• Department Partnerships and Social Responsibility:
Responsibilities:
1. Establishing partnerships with both public and private sectors to achieve the college's objectives, in coordination with the university's Partnerships Department.
2. Utilizing partnerships to support the college's plan and enhance community engagement opportunities for staff, in coordination with the educational departments and student clubs within the college.
3. Developing student training opportunities through external collaborations, leveraging partnerships, and providing job opportunities, in coordination with the academic departments and the educational affairs Department within the college.
4. Initiating awareness campaigns and social initiatives, while participating in community activities held within the college and the university.
5. Implementing volunteer programs for faculty, administrative staff, and students.
• Project Management Office:
Responsibilities:
1. Monitoring current college projects with project managers to ensure alignment with the approved plan, in coordination with the Project Office.
2. Reviewing proposed future projects on campus, assessing their economic feasibility according to the college's strategic plan.
3. Investing college assets in coordination with relevant authorities, including the Facilities and Investment Departments.
4. Developing self-resources, enhancing income sources, and monitoring the college's investment account through the Development and Consulting Services Institute.
5. Leveraging specialized expertise within the college to establish think tanks, in coordination with the Development Institute.
