Establishment :
The “Journal of Critical Studies in Languages and Literature" is a periodic, refereed scientific journal approved by Scientific Council Resolution No. 3580 dated 19/2/1439 AH. It is published twice a year in both print and electronic versions by the College of Languages at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. The Journal is concerned with research and studies in linguistics, translation, and literature. It publishes original research papers in the field of its specialization in both English and French. It aims to focus on research and studies that address recent research priorities at the national and regional levels. The Journal is overseen by an advisory and editorial board of competent academic experts from several local and international institutions.

Mission :
Enhancing the quality and excellence of scientific publishing in the journal by adhering to international standards, acknowledging the elements of strength in publishing and distribution, and seeking improvement and development. Achieving these standards will contribute to building up the reputation and status of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University regionally and globally, and it will also serve individuals, sectors of society, and development projects that fall within the framework of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
Objectives :
1. Seeking for the peer-reviewed scientific journal to become a means of publication that aligns with international standards for scientific publishing.
2. To classify the college's journal as an international scientific journal and list it in Arabic and international indexing networks.
To strengthen and develop the journal's publishing, refereed, and distribution system, which serves all local, regional, and international researchers and beneficiaries.
To attract and encourage prominent researchers and writers from inside and outside the Kingdom to publish in the journal.
3. To enable electronic publishing of the journal and electronic refereed of research safely and soundly.
4. To enhance scientific cooperation and communication between the journal and local and international scientific journals in the same field of specialization.

Publishing Control :
- Commit to the publishing guidelines described on the Journal's website.

- Include a summary in Arabic and references according to the Journal's format.
- Verify the authenticity and quality of the submitted work.
- The submitted paper for publication must not be forwarded to another party for publication or previously published in another scientific journal.
- All materials submitted to the Journal are subject to specialized scientific peer-review.
- The research or study must be in one of the fields of translation, literature, and linguistics and its branches.
- The researcher must adopt scientific foundations in his research process and follow the scientific documentation rules used in the Journal.
- Not violating the provisions of Islamic Sharia, the applicable regulations, or the government's directions, policies, plans, and initiatives.
- Not publishing anything that calls for strife and division, disrupts the government's security and public order, harms its public relations, or serves foreign interests that conflict with national interests.
- Not publishing anything that harms human dignity and rights or leads to inciting strife, damaging reputation, or defamation.
