About the Department

The Information Technology Department is one of the three departments in the College of Computer and Information Sciences. The department was established in the year 2016.
The department offers three bachelor's degree programs in the following specializations:
• Information Technology
• Cybersecurity
• Internet of Things
In addition, the department contributes to the intermediate bachelor's program "Financial Technology" in collaboration with the Economics Department in the College of Business Administration.
The Information Technology department is distinguished by having a group of specialized faculty members, both in research and academia, in various fields. Among the prominent areas are Information Technology, Networks and Communication Systems, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and others. The impact of this diversity is evident in the specializations of the faculty members in the various graduation projects undertaken by the students.
The department periodically reviews the content and plans of its programs, working collaboratively with our partners in various sectors to update our programs in line with the needs of the job market.
