About The Academic Program

In line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the pursuit of excellence in scientific research and community service, the Master of Science in Cybersecurity program was designed in an innovative way to provide graduates with the knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to prevent and protect institutions from the threat of digital crimes, provide appropriate solutions, and benefit from the best practices in the field. This program will give female students the opportunity to excel in the highly competitive field of contemporary technology and will also enable female students to acquire and practice new and distinct practical experiences in the field of cybersecurity. The Program graduates will also contribute to covering the great need in the field of cybersecurity, which is one of the most in-demand fields at the local and international levels.

Nature and Goals of the Program

This is a two-year fulltime curriculum with four semesters The student will obtain a Master degree in the master of Science in Cyber Security

1 Preparing qualified female professionals to work in the field of cyber security.
2 Addressing the theoretical and practical aspects of cyber security.
3 Develop and enhance research skills in the field of cyber security.
4 Empowering students with the capabilities and skills to adapt to cybersecurity techniques and methodologies.
5 Develop students' ability to understand the importance of cybersecurity in facing risks and empower students with the required skills and techniques.
6 Develop and enhance the skills required to carry out practical security assurance tasks, intruder detection, risk analysis, etc.

1 Define the fundamental and advanced concepts, theories, tools, and practices of cyber technology, network systems and related emerging technologies which are applied to protecting the security and privacy of the cyber infrastructure.
2 Describe the fundamental and advanced issues of cyber security, cryptography, intellectual property law, cyber law and regulations, and the various threats faced by today’s cyber infrastructure.
3 Perform audit procedures and assesses the strengths and weaknesses of security mechanisms.
4 Identify malicious activities and attacks, and develop contingency plans and threat mitigation strategies in a timely and effective cost manner.
5 Carry out incident response activities, use cyber-crime investigation, and apply penetration testing.
6 Communicate effectively with professionals in the field of cybersecurity using appropriate technologies.
7 Embrace a high level of commitment to cybersecurity ethics, professional practice and standards and demonstrate integrity and responsible citizenship and engagement in community service.
8 Demonstrate the ability to update or deepen knowledge and skills, and lifelong learning in cybersecurity and related disciplines and participate effectively in cyber security projects.
