Nature and Goals of the Program

It is a specific program in cybersecurity and is considered one of the qualitative and future fields in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and global trends. The program aims to prepare highly qualified female graduates able to implement the necessary security measures and to deal with modern technologies in the areas of cybersecurity to meet the needs of the labor market.

1 Preparing highly qualified female graduates able to implement the necessary security measures and to deal with modern technologies in the areas of cybersecurity to meet the needs of the labor market.
2 Providing female graduates with leadership, effective communication skills, and professional ethics to enhance their effectiveness in the labor market.
3 Equip graduates with scientific research skills that enrich their self-learning and allow them to pursue studies in the higher specialized stages.
4 Promote the societal contributions of female graduates in the field of cybersecurity.

K1 Define the concepts, theories, tools, and practices of cyber technology, network systems and related emerging technologies.
K2 Describe the fundamental issues of Cybersecurity, cryptography, threats, cyber law and regulations.
S1 Analyze security issues and develop contingency plans, threat mitigation strategies and secured applications to protect networks, infrastructures, and data from malicious activities and cyber-attacks.
S2 Carry out incident response activities and cyber-crime investigation in an evolving Cybersecurity landscape.
S3 Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts.
V1 Behave ethically, professionally, and with responsibility in the field of Cybersecurity.
V2 Work effectively and interact professionally in teams to fulfill job market requirements and practice entrepreneurship.

1 Being familiar with theories, professional foundations and developments in the field of cybersecurity.
2 Being able to apply effectively knowledge and modern technologies to protect data, systems and installations from the threat of cyber-attacks and digital crimes of all kinds, install firewalls, create security plans and monitor network activities.
3 Being able to identify security problems and breaches and find quick solutions, especially in light of the increase in cyber-attacks, by implementing various tactics.
4 Leadership, initiative, decision-making and responsibility.
5 Being able to use the skills and experience gained in entrepreneurship to contribute to economic development.
6 Being able to develop personal skills, self-development and continuing education in the light of changes and evolution.
