Nature and Goals of the Program

The program provides students with the necessary knowledge about concepts, theories, and fundamental principles associated with the field of ultrasound. It seeks to train them to use modern technology effectively and apply theoretical knowledge to conduct ultrasound imaging accurately, safely, and timely in various contexts. It also motivates them to demonstrate innovation and creativity in solving challenges related to ultrasound. It teaches them the ability to adapt to different environments through self-learning and participation in learning situations that encourage the development of competencies and professional attributes in the ultrasound profession. Students will have the required leadership to fully utilize their intellectual abilities in diverse settings, along with effective communication skills when working in healthcare and contributing to community service

1-To provide the graduate with the knowledge and skills needed to meet the requirements of national and international organizations that certify Ultrasound Imaging specialists.
2-To enhance the graduate’s professional characteristics, communication and leadership skills which are needed for the high-quality delivery of services within the field of Ultrasound Imaging.
3-To contribute effectively in promoting health and increasing society awareness about the role of ultrasound imaging in the diagnosis of different diseases
4-To conduct research and form collaborations that develop the field of Ultrasound Imaging.

Knowledge and Understanding:
K1-Explain the theories that are related to radiology, ultrasound imaging, and research.
Skills:
S1-Apply all the procedures and calculations related to the ultrasound profession and research.
S2-Integrate the theories of radiology and sonography into the practice of Ultrasound imaging.
Values:
V1-Show leadership, ethical, and professional behavior in different teams and settings.
V2-Comply with occupational rules at the ultrasound departments.

1-Knowledgeable of the basic concepts, theories and principles associated with the field of Ultrasound Imaging.
2- Capable to use recent technology effectively as well as use the attained theoretical knowledge to perform Ultrasound Imaging in an accurate, safe and timely manner in different contexts.
3-Innovative and creative in solving problems related to different challenges in Ultrasound Imaging.
4-Adaptable to different environments through self-learning and through participation in learning situations that encourage development of competencies and professional characteristics related to Ultrasound Imaging profession.
