The College of Education and Human Development at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University is considered as a distinguished educational institution. Not only that, but it was also the first cornerstone in higher education for Saudi women and the main driving force behind their education and development. With its rich heritage and history of achievements, the College of Education and Human Development takes pride in carrying the banner of education, pedagogical knowledge, and the preparation of teachers, as well as community development. It stands as a witness to the important societal role of education pioneers in shaping generations, achieving leadership, delivering numerous accomplishments and contributions, realizing aspirations, and serving as a reference for future generations in shaping a future full of excellence and advancement for this generous country.

Dean’s Message

​The College of Education and Human Development at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University is deeply rooted in a national vision, aiming to align with the goals outlined in the Kingdom Vision 2030. The college is committed to serving as the cornerstone for these aspirations, contributing to the development of the educational system and enhancing its efficiency. This includes meeting the demands of sustainable development, fostering life skills, aligning educational outcomes with the 21st-century labour market, and providing lifelong learning opportunities. To realize a knowledge economy, the College of Education and Human Development actively supports creativity, innovation, and the optimal utilization of human resources.

The journey of the college has seen various growth and development stages. Initially established in 1390/1970 as the "College of Education," it became part of the Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in 1427. In 1445, the college underwent restructuring, leading to its current name, "College of Education and Human Development." This change reflects the broader roles envisioned by both the country and the university, encompassing academic programs at various levels (B.A., diploma, postgraduate diploma, M.A.). The college's outreach extends to diverse segments of society, including educational leaders, employees, faculty members, and male and female teachers, through accredited short and medium-term training programs offering professional certificates.

In harmony with the vision and mission of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, and in alignment with the College's objectives, there is a resolute commitment to preparing female students with specialized knowledge, educational skills, and global competitiveness according to international standards. The faculty is dedicated to fostering a conducive educational environment, enabling female students to realize their goals, pursue professional ambitions, and engage in knowledge exchange.
