Knowledge Transfer:

It is a form of on-the-job training where an employee accompanies a highly qualified and specialized expert to benefit from their experience while performing tasks.

Objectives:

- To effectively develop knowledge skills, and abilities within a short time, enabling trainees to perform their roles efficiently and effectively.

- To prepare qualified individuals for higher responsibilities.

- To utilize human resources expertise to develop employees in alignment with the university's objectives.

-To promote contributions to change and development.

-To highlight the link between theoretical and practical application in completing tasks.


Program Admission Criteria:

- Approval from the immediate supervisor through form submission.

- Identification of the training by the immediate supervisor, the concerned employee, and the trainer.

- The training area must be within the university's work fields.

- The training area must be directly related to the employee's current work.

- The training should last only two hours per day to avoid interfering with the employee's tasks and should not exceed five days.


Trainee Admission Requirements:

- Must have spent at least three years in the position to be trained on.

- Must have achieved a minimum performance review rating of "4.5" over the last two years.

- Must possess the necessary skills to carry out the assigned training tasks.

- Must fill out all the required information on the Knowledge Transfer link, including the Myers-Briggs personality test.

-  Must adhere to the training duration without interruption.

Succession planning:

Succession planning is a structured process to identify key positions in an organization and prepare suitable candidates to fill these roles as substitutes for current employees when needed. It involves evaluating and developing employees to ensure they have the skills and experience required to maintain sustained leadership and institutional performance, thereby preventing disruptions caused by vacancies.

- Creating a database of highly qualified employees.

- Assisting in career planning decisions for the university staff.

- Ensuring sustained institutional performance by developing human resource competencies.

- Building measurement indicators to support decision-making.

- Facilitating the transfer of knowledge and experiences among employees at all levels and enhancing the learning environment at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in light of Saudi Vision 2030.

- Providing competent substitutes for crucial and supervisory positions.

The purpose of succession planning is to empower the university's academic and administrative staff to ensure sustained high-quality performance.

Membership Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree as a minimum qualification.

  • Certification as an accredited trainer.

  • Minimum of two years of training or professional experience.

  • Adherence to the training code of conduct and ethics.
