The Deanship of Student Affairs Activates Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Step By)​


The Deanship of Student Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University has activated the International Breast Cancer Awareness Month under the slogan (Step Ahead with a Step), which falls on October of each year, and distinguished awareness events and campaigns were organized in which all parties participated on campus. These events aim to raise awareness about breast cancer, the importance of early screening, awareness of the risks of the disease, and encourage periodic screening and reassurance, as early detection of the disease is vital that can improve the chances of recovery, and supporting research in this field is important for developing treatments and improving patient outcomes. The activities witnessed the participation and attendance of a large number of students and employees of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, where their number reached (3700) beneficiaries, and the activities included: Educational lectures: awareness lectures were delivered by a group of specialized doctors, and interactive workshops: practical workshops were organized to introduce how to perform breast self-examination correctly, and clarify the importance. Free examinations: Participants benefited from free breast examinations. And an awareness exhibition to enhance knowledge about breast cancer. In addition to sports events: Sports Affairs held a marathon (pink race), gymnastics show, sports competitions and movement exercises at the sports club for female students (Princess Nourah University Stadium) to emphasize the importance of maintaining public health These participations come from Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University's belief in the importance of promoting the general health of female students and contributing to creating a university life that supports health and well-being.​
