The College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized the initiative "Your Digital Security is in Your Hands" in conjunction with the Global Cybersecurity Awareness Month. The initiative aimed to enhance digital and legal awareness among the university’s female students, faculty, and staff at the college’s headquarters. The College of Computer and Information Sciences, represented by the Cybersecurity Club, delivered awareness messages to promote digital security, educate about the importance of protecting digital information, and encourage best practices when using technological tools. Several activities were carried out, including awareness publications, interactive games to raise awareness about phishing, and methods of preventing digital space risks. The College of Law, represented by the university’s Legal Clinic, contributed to the initiative by offering legal awareness messages, explaining the legal aspects related to cybercrimes, and guiding individuals on the correct legal actions to take when facing any electronic threat. In addition, experts in cybersecurity and law provided educational consultations, highlighting the most prominent digital crimes and safe practices for using technology. Dr. Manal Al-Ohali, Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences, explained, "This collaboration between the College of Computer and Information Sciences and the College of Law is an effective model for integrating technical and legal dimensions to raise awareness, establish a culture of digital security, and empower them with the necessary legal and technical knowledge to face increasing digital challenges. It contributes to building a generation that is aware of its rights and responsibilities in the digital world and capable of interacting with technology intelligently and responsibly." The "Your Digital Security is in Your Hands" initiative is part of the efforts by the College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University to promote digital and legal culture among the university’s members. It aligns with the university’s strategic goals for 2025, which aim to lead intellectual and community impact, excel in education and learning, and contribute to building a university community that is aware of both technology and law.
