The Center of Excellence in Teaching and Learning at the Deanship of Academic Development organizes a session on "Cooperative Learning and Effective Learning Environments”

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at the Academic Development Deanship (ADD) organized the sixth training session "Cooperative Learning and Effective Learning Environments" for a group of faculty members within the university, as part of the Academic Excellence Program (AEP), which is accredited by Advance HE in the United Kingdom (UK), and delivered by the Center's academic development consultant, Dr. Ola Elshurafa.

The session aimed at introducing the trainees to the most important principles and strategies of cooperative learning and effective learning environments.

 Among the most important objectives of the training session were: enhancing the trainees knowledge of cooperative learning strategies and the effective learning environment and their benefit to students' learning; enabling trainees to effectively design cooperative learning activities and effective learning environment initiatives, encouraging faculty to employ cooperative learning and to support their students through effective learning environment strategies; allowing the trainees to identify the links between cooperative learning and effective learning environment practices and the dimensions of the core knowledge and professional values within the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF ).​
